This is a traveling art event in which up-and-coming artists from inside and outside of Okayama Prefecture create and exhibit their works at hot spring resorts in Mimasaka Sanyu (Yubara, Okutsu, and Yunogo), one of the leading hot spring resorts in western Japan, located in northern Okayama Prefecture. The word "temperature" refers to the sensations one can actually experience, such as the warmth of a hot spring, the warm hospitality of a hot spring hotel, and the excitement one feels after viewing art. The event has been held every three years since 2016, and this will be the third time it has been held. We hope you will take this opportunity to enjoy the collaboration of onsen and art. ◎内容：岡山県北にある西日本有数の温泉地である美作三湯（湯原、奥津、湯郷）の温泉宿等に県内外の気鋭のアーティストが作品を 制作・展示する回遊型アートイベントです。温泉の温もり、温泉宿の温かいおもてなし、アート鑑賞した後の感動など、実際に 体感できる感覚を「温度」という言葉に託しています。訪れる人にこの「温度」を感じてもらいたい、アート作品から新しい 感動や発見をしてもらいたいという思いが込められています。2016年から3年に一度開催しており、今回が3回目になります。 ぜひこの機会に温泉とアートのコラボレーションをお楽しみください。（text：フライヤー）

Yunogo Onsen Museum of the 41st Century

About 2,000 years ago, the town of Pompeii in Italy was instantly destroyed by a volcanic eruption. Hot springs existed even in those days and provided healing for people's lives. Various artifacts have been excavated from the ruins of Pompeii, offering a glimpse into the lives and activities of the people of that time and teaching us many things. 　
On the other hand, Yugō Onsen is said to have been discovered approximately 1,200 years ago (during Japan's Heian period) by the monk Jikaku Daienin, who witnessed a white heron healing its wounded leg in this area. It has since been affectionately known by its alternative name, “Sagi no Yu”. 　
In this exhibition, based on this episode, we have themed the exhibition around “The Yugō Onsen Site Unearthed 2,000 Years Later” and envisioned this inn as the “41st Century Yunogo Onsen Museum.” The front wall is designed as a “41st Century Excavation Site,” and the surrounding areas and glass cases display artifacts unearthed from this site.

41世紀の湯郷温泉ミュージアム

今から約2000年前、イタリアのポンペイの町は火山の噴火によって一瞬にしてその姿を消しました。温泉はこの時代にも存在し、人々の生活を癒してきました。ポンペイ遺跡からは様々なモノが出土し、そこには当時の人々の営みや生活が凝縮しており、後世の私たちに様々なことを教えてくれます。 　
一方、湯郷温泉は約1200年前（日本では平安時代）に慈覚大円仁法師が、この地で白鷺（しらさぎ）が足の傷を癒しているのを見て発見したと伝えられ、別名「鷺の湯（さぎのゆ）」として親しまれてきました。 　
本展では、このエピソードを元に、「2000年後に発掘された湯郷温泉遺跡」をテーマに、この旅館を「41世紀の湯郷温泉ミュージアム」と想定しました。正面の壁面を「41世紀の発掘現場」とし、その周辺やガラスケースの中には、この遺跡から出土した品々を展示しています。
