How would our present-day society look if it were excavated in a fossilized state 2000 years in the future?  SHIBAKAWA Toshiyuki has developed his installation works under that consistent theme.  For this exhibition, he made the supposition that the Okuno Building, where APS is situated, is a cave discovered in the 41st century.  By utilizing three venues within the building (APS, Kobo Kaidanshita Gallery and the stairs leading to the roof), he takes the audience on a time-travel adventure from the present to the past and to the future.  Don’t miss the adventure into the cave that will prove to be amusing to viewers of all ages!  (text:T. ◎内容：APSのある奥野ビルは昭和７年に建てられた７階建ての魅力的な建築物である。本展ではこの建築物全体を「2000年後の洞窟空間」と想定する。地下スペースの巷房階段下と屋上階段にも作品を設置し、中間の５階に位置するAPSを基点に、階段下から階段上までの建築物全体を来場者に体感し、冒険してもらおうという試みである。また、３つの場所をつなぐ階段を、現在から過去・未来へと続く時間軸と考えた場合、階段下・階段上のどちらを過去・未来と感じるのか来館者の感性に委ねたい。本展を通して、2000年後の未来の視点で現代社会と今後の方向性を考える機会にしたい。 (text:T.Nanpei DMより）
