Fossil works by SHIBAKAWA Toshiyuki, an artist whose theme is "Modern society unearthed 2000 years later" are secretly exhibited in the permanent exhibition room. Today's iconic items, such as cell phones, car logos, animated characters and framed paintings, are made to look as if they were excavated from ancient ruins, and burrow into displays of Jomon pottery and various relics. In addition, the "fossil paper" created by the participants in the "Workshop 2000 years from now" decorates the windows of the museum, and copies the belongings and pieces of the Jomon earthenware from 4000 years ago are engraved on an engraved print and colored from the back. The light that enters the room is colored like stained glass and is designed on a fan to convey a message for 2000 years to come. ◎内容：「2000年後に発掘された現代社会」をテーマに活動する美術家・柴川敏之氏の化石状の作品が、常設展示室に密やかに展示されています。携帯電話や車のロゴ、アニメキャラクターや額縁付の絵画など現代を象徴する品々が、遠い昔の遺跡から発掘されたかのように仕上げられ、縄文土器やさまざまな遺物の展示に潜り込んで並びます。また、「2000年後のワークショップ」で参加者が制作した作品が美術館の窓をかざり、身の回りの品物と4000年前の縄文土器のかけらを拓本に写しとって裏から色をつけた「紙の化石」が、差し込む光をステンドグラスのように色で染め、扇子にデザインされて2000年後へのメッセージを伝えます。それに、2000年後から現代に向けて送られた絵手紙は、私たちの行方を見据えています。（text:チラシ）
