This year marks the 150 year anniversary of the opening of Kobe Port. Focusing on the fact that many painters travelled to Europe from Kobe Port before the war, this exhibition will be titled <Time and space art travelers from Kobe> and will feature, among other things, masterpieces by Ryohei Koiso, Yuzo Saeki, Shikanosuke Oka and other artists who left Kobe Port, Western-style painters such as Yoshiro Amitani and Isao Nishimura, and Godfrey Neller <<Statue of Mrs.Catherine Harper>>, a former Matsukata collection exhibited for the first time in this our building exhibition. In addition, we will present a different world by introducing <<a rosebound girl>> created with original materials by SHIBAKAWA Toshiyuki, a contemporary art writer whose theme is (1966 -) and <<Appearance II. 40041121 (an excavation of a painting that was excavated 2000 years later: Renoir)>> by "Modern society unearthed 2000 years later" Pierre-Auguste Renoir owned by our building. I hope this exhibition will give you an opportunity to experience the creative spirit of the painters who travel around Kobe and experience the journey to space-time in front of the paintings. ◎内容：今年で神戸港は開港150年目を迎えました。そこで当館では、戦前、多くの画家が神戸港からヨーロッパへ遊学の旅に出掛けていたことに着目し、今展覧会を〈神戸からの時空 アートの旅人たち〉と題して、館蔵品より、小磯良平、佐伯祐三、岡鹿之助ら神戸港から旅立った作家や、網谷義郎、西村功ら神戸を拠点に活躍した洋画家の作品、また今回初出品となる旧松方コレクション作品、ゴッドフリー・ネラー《キャサリン・ハーパー夫人の像》などを展示いたします。また、「2000年後に発掘された現代社会」をテーマに創作活動を行う現代美術作家・柴川敏之（1966-）が独創的な素材で制作した《出現Ⅱ.40041121（2000年後に発掘された絵画の出土品：ルノワール）》と当館が所蔵するピエール＝オーギュスト・ルノワール作品《薔薇をつけた少女》を併せて紹介し、異次元の世界を提示いたします。本展覧会が神戸を巡る画家たちの創作精神に触れ、絵の前で時空への旅を体感していただく機会となれば幸いです。（text：BBプラザ美術館HP）
